Therapy vs Coaching… What’s the Difference?
Is This the Same as Therapy? Nope- and that’s exactly the point. Both aim to help you grow (personally and/ or professionally), feel better, and create a more fulfilling life.
Therapy often looks back, exploring emotions, patterns, and past experiences to support healing. It’s powerful work for understanding the “why.” The primary focus of therapy tends to be healing and understanding.
Coaching looks forward, it’s action-oriented and goal-focused. We identify barriers, clarify what you want next, develop concrete plans to get there and accountabilities to keep you on track. Primary focus is personal development with tangible results.
Overly simplified – therapy supports mental health and healing, coaching helps you translate insights into progress and results. They can complement each other beautifully, depending on where you are and what you need most right now.
Life Strategy engagements are a set period of time and a set cost. Sessions are strategic, intentional and getting you closer to the goal of a more fulfilled life. Together we find out what’s really going on, develop a plan that leads to your best life and add in the structure, follow-through and accountability to make sure it sticks.
